So Cllr #RalphCook wants to reduce speeds to save lives – Rubbish – Cllr Ralph needs to focus on his pledges in recent #elections where he has seen is majority eaten away slowly. Personally I have been nothing but let down by the invisible man, or Cllr Cook, call him what you will. His policies during the elections were to restore roads in Cardiff to the way they were prior to Lib Dem and Tory messing – one year on almost, and nothing – not even a reply to both of my email to him. I am afraid Cook is useless and has lost my vote for ever more.
Deputy leader of Cardiff council Ralph Cook said “saving lives and reducing the cost to society” was his priority. – News to me, this was never in his manifesto!!!
As a local resident, the cars are NOT the problem – the kids are… they need focus and taking off the streets, they need somewhere to gather so they are not on the roads on foot or bike late at night or running across the roads.
In my opinion, #CardiffCouncil have done nothing in #StMellons but create death traps for children around schools – speed bumps that look like, but ARE NOT crossings, crossings on hills – MUPPETS the lot of them in Cardiff Council. A vote for a councillor, is a waste of time/money!

Today I came across Havering Council’s website. I brought back memories of Mcc (Monmouthshire) and the plans we had for the website. Looking at http://www.havering.gov.uk and comparing it to the rubbish incarnation of Mcc at present I thought to myself, it was like polar opposites. How to create a usable and attractive site, and then what Monmouthshire have served up, a mess, no that’s not right, an ugly unusable mess… It really goes to show that developing usable, attractive and functional websites is NOT all programming geeks hidden away in a building with an anachronism and dodgy director of ill repute – it takes skill and eye for what works and what customers want/need – most of which many council are way off with.

Congratulations to Having Council and a very good site, if I recall this year’s results correctly that also did very well with SOCitm.
