Cookies: Majority of government sites to miss deadline

…and not forgetting the poor local gov sites in Wales.
“Ahead of a nationwide deadline over regulating the use of cookies, the BBC has learned that the “majority” of the UK government’s own websites will fail to comply in time.”
As stated on the BBC site today, most sites will fail. I have only found one Welsh local gov site (Vale of glamorgan) that actually fully complies with the new laws.
Take my Ol mukkas at Monmouthshire – not a hope, can’t even fix basic problems, have no staff with any clue as to running a site. What hope do they have… come May 26th, what will happen? well if applied a large fine from Europe via teh UK government. We wait to see

If you need assistance in applying the new EU Cookie law to your web site, please visit http://www.webwales.co.uk for assistance and a free quote to make your site legal, yes legal in time.

    #Assembly Waste yet more money?

That is the Question, the answer with out doubt 100% YES. How can it not be a waste.
Welsh language plan for services unveiled by commissioner Meri Huws are simply a total waste of money and will drive what little businesses living in Wales, out. All buinesses receiving £400,000 or money in monies from the Assembly (I refuse to use Government) will be required to perform ALL business in English AND Welsh, regardless of customer needs or requests.

    Welsh services to be provided:
    > Correspondence – a Welsh speaker could expect to receive letters and bills from councils, along with water, gas, electricity and mobile phone companies in Welsh.
    > Telephone calls, helplines and call centres – if ringing an organisation, a person will be entitled to speak to someone through the medium of Welsh.
    >Care for individuals (medical and / or non-medical) – a Welsh speaker would have the right to request to be seen by a Welsh-speaking doctor.
Similarly, in care homes, a person would be able to have a Welsh-speaking carer.
    >Meeting in a legal environment – court cases, tribunals and inquiries would be heard through the medium of Welsh.
    >Public meetings and private meetings – these too would need to provide Welsh speakers or translation services.
    >Youth activities – council-run leisure centres and youth clubs would be obliged to offer services in Welsh.
    >Educational meetings – Welsh would be used in classes, lectures, tutorials, discussion groups, workshops, training sessions and awareness raising sessions.

If this isn’t a total waste of welsh taxes, what is… other than the assembly its self!

    Prince2 Here I come…
I am now officially going on a Prince2 course at the Cardiff e-Academy at the end of May.
This will finally qualify me in all I can already do, and probably make me even better?

Cardiff City RED colour is great, lets drop all reference to “Bluebirds” it’s a losers name after 3 straight attempts at winning promotion, Cardiff need players, money and air time. Drop the name and colours, although I don’t like the Dragon logo idea, thats cheap, come up with a new logo based on Cardiff the Capital of Wales, not just Oooo it’s Wales, It’s Welsh – a gragon!!! think!
I back the plans 100%, it will be great, 35,000 seater stadium, the Capital of Welsh football, and a multi Million pound team playing Premier League football within 14 months – thats what we need – and it’s being offered to us on a plate – take it don’t be the unwanted fans of football’s world.
The BlueBirds are unwanted -second only to Millwalls fans at present. Use this to rebrand and show the world, Cardiff City ARE the best?

So the idiots (minority) of Cardiff got their way, BUT at what price. CCFC are loseing thousands of pounds weekly, £35 million debt hanging over them, these fools clinging to the past are failing to remember one thing…
The may not be a future – Cardiff could go out of business and they have scared off a £100 million pound investor – What a bunch of bluebirds!
At least Nufc are flying high… Toon Toon!

Checking mobile phones and facebook accounts as ID – This has to be illigal? Also a definate breach of privacy looking at a phone, I wouldn’t trust most bouncers holding my phone let alone looking at content on the phone itself! http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/17930370 – time this was stopped NOW.
